An Ode To My Best Friend..

I've been told that not mentioning my best friend so far is just not good enough so here we go..

Debs makes the best roast dinner.
She watches movies & tv shows I don't like but it's ok cos I watch ones she doesn't like.
She has a big ass pool table & huuuage tv.
She puts up with me.
She gives me inside info ;)
She stops me doing things I shouldn't do.
She gives me advice.
She makes me laugh.
She takes the piss.
She loves me singing Cheryl Crow All I Wanna Do loudly in the car.
She came to Vegas with me, woooo!

There's plenty more but I'm watching The L Word :P

Ok so I'm in Boots today getting myself a meal deal on my lunch break, chicken pasta, strawberry nougat bar & Ribena if you're interested.. anyway I'm in the queue and at the front is a cute, geeky girl, she's tall & skinny, wearing combat pants, a long sleeve top with a t-shirt over & a bandana type hair band, she had red-ish messy hair & black framed glasses. Behind her were two girls both wearing black pants, black tops & black jackets, they both had long dark hair & had a crap load of make up slapped on them.. unmistakably make up counter girls...

what they were doing was just so obvious and mean, they were looking at her like she was a piece of crap and obviously slagging her off.. I'm guessing she must have known this because she was kinda sideways on to the queue with her being at the front. I just thought what a pair of complete bitches! And I wanted to go after the girl & tell her I thought she was cute but by the time I'd been served she was no where to be seen.

The thing I hate more than anything is people judging others on what they wear/look like! At least she didn't look the same as everyone else! As you can tell by reading my description of them two, they looked exactly the same... BORING!! So fucking what if she doesn't wanna spend all day shopping in fucking god knows what designer shop or spending 2 hours before leaving the house putting make up on! To be honest these two bitches weren't even nice looking!

I doubt she'll ever read this but if you were in Boots in Warrington on 11th March at about 12pm and you fit my description I want to tell you I thought you were beautiful.. and if you're the two make up counter type girls, you seriously need to grow up!

World Cinema Horror

Lately we've been having Asian Horror nights every Friday in our house.. apart from last Friday which was Spanish horror.. so ok I guess it's World Cinema Horror Night.

A Tale of Two Sisters I thought was worth a quicky blog because I thought it was really good, I'm a huge fan of horror movies but it's been a loooooong time since one actually scared me, I've been creeped out before and to be honest that's not hard to do but not for a while have I had to try not to look at the TV.. the Asians are so good at weird creepy stuff, it's immense!!

I've just read that this film has been remade.. aka dumbed down for the American audience ;) hehe.. I saw the American version of Dark Water (think that's what it's called) on a flight to Las Vegas.. made me wanna throw myself off the plane but I imagine the original is quite good!!

is El Orfanato or The Orphanage for the thickos amongst us ;) This is Spanish & I thought it was better than Pans Labyrinth. There's no point me telling you what they're about because I'll end up giving to much away. Just watch them.. oh & don't bother with REC in Spanish or the remake..

Facebook: Use It & Die...

Just been reading an article about an Oxford Scientist who says "Facebook might ruin minds"
Here's some of the article:

Ms. Greenfield – a member of Britain’s House of Lords who holds the title of Baroness – said that social networking sites like Facebook might create short attention spans. She said that one teacher she knows had noticed a sharp decline in her pupils’ abilities to understand others over the last 30 years.

The last 30 years!! You can't blame Facebook for that.. the drugs maybe but not Facebook. Is this what I pay tax for? So a scientist can tell me to stop having fun now & just wrap myself up in front of the TV in cotton wool.. that is of course presuming we're allowed to watch TV because too much of that will probably turn us into devil worshipping sex pests.

I read another article that said Facebook is harmful to children, you know whats harmful to children? Paedo's! Paedo's are harmful to children, so how about you take some money off the scientists & use it to catch the paedos.. and let the kids play on Facebook in their own houses were they're safe.. of course apart from any Paedos on Facebook but you know what I mean!

Then of course there's the article about how Facebook increases the risk of cancer:

According to the Daily Mail, using Facebook “could raise your risk of cancer”. The newspaper reported that social networking sites “could raise your risk of serious health problems by reducing levels of face-to-face contact”.

Now I actually laughed out loud at this one.. I mean lol'd.. I'm now walking around Liverpool popping up in front of people & staring at them right in the face to reduce my risk of cancer... and increase my risk of being put away for insanity.

You can't do anything without getting cancer these days.. and don't even start me on that stroke advert!! Talk about causing mass hysteria, I bet the hospitals are full of drunk people on a Friday night who think they're having a stroke due to that advert. The symptoms are the same.. slurred speech, can't hold yourself up never mind your arms, headache & your face is all over the place.

I just wish the world was still like the 1960's when everything was groovy baby ;)
